The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. Is the black dial finish consistent across all units?
Yes. The black dial is standard for this reference. In our QC photos, we check that printing is sharp and evenly applied—the black background makes printing defects visible, so we take care.
Does the vintage reference number mean older movement?
No. We use a Swiss-grade automatic inside, not a period-correct vintage calibre. The outside styling is vintage-inspired; the internals are contemporary and reliable.
How does the 36mm onyx dial read compared to other Day-Dates?
The black dial is more formal and subdued than the traditional champagne or silver dials. It reads as more brooding and elegant, particularly on a 36mm case.
