Breitling asks more of the dial printing than most
A Navitimer dial carries a circular slide rule — dozens of tiny numerals around the rehaut and chapter ring, all of which must stay crisp and evenly spaced. This is where cheap versions collapse: the numerals blur and the ring reads as a grey smudge from arm's length. On the AB0127211C1A1 examples we keep, the printing holds definition through the full 360 degrees, and the subdials are recessed rather than merely outlined.
What sends a slide-rule dial back
The test that settles it is the rotation check. The dial is turned under a fixed light and read at four points, and if definition drops anywhere in that circle the batch goes back rather than the odd piece. Print fails in the same place almost every time, on the compressed inner scale where the numerals are smallest.
Bulk is the second rejection. A Super Avenger II is a large watch by any measure, and the lug curvature decides whether it sits like a puck on the wrist. The M133711A/BF30 and the Avenger 45 Night Mission V13317101L1X1 both have pronounced crown guards, and the transition from guard to caseband is the giveaway when it is machined as a separate lump rather than flowing out of the case.

Water resistance is everyday level, around 50 metres, so we do not recommend swimming or diving whatever the Superocean name implies.
