The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

What should I look for in bezel wear after delivery?
The bezel should rotate smoothly with evenly-spaced clicks. In QC video, verify the index mark aligns with 12 o'clock at rest. Any grinding sound, misalignment, or sticky rotation warrants a replacement request before you approve.
How does the bracelet clasp secure?
The Chronomat uses a fold-over clasp with safety lock. The clasp should close securely without rattling and sit flush against the wrist. If it feels loose or overly tight, note this in your QC approval response.
Can I size the bracelet down after delivery?
Yes. Standard watch link removal tools work on the endlinks. We typically ship at a neutral mid-range; you can remove links to fit your wrist. A jeweller can do this quickly if you lack the tool.
Is the dial finish matte or polished?
The Chronomat dial typically has a matte finish with applied indices. Some references have brushed subdials. Your QC video will show the exact finish; compare it to reference photography to confirm authenticity.

Breitling's Chronomat is the integrated chronograph for the working pilot—a watch where dial, bezel, and bracelet form a single seamless tool. Three subdials anchor the dial symmetrically, framed by a rotating tachymeter bezel. It is bold, purposeful, and unapologetic about its size.
How our clone follows it
We build this at 44mm in stainless steel around a Swiss-grade automatic with roughly 48 hours of reserve. The sapphire crystal includes anti-reflective treatment to control dial glare. During QC we check the bezel lock (is rotation smooth?), the subdial centring and finish, and the bracelet endlinks for gap-free seating—these are the visible marks of a tight Chronomat.
