What the Carrera is

The Carrera is TAG Heuer's most famous chronograph, born from motorsports and shaped by decades of refinement. The case is angular and professional, with a unidirectional rotating bezel. The dial is typically black with white subdials, and the hands are skeletonised for chronograph reading. The overall impression is purposeful and sporty without being tactical—a watch that looks at home on a racing driver's wrist or in an office.

What we check in photographs

When we QC a Carrera, we examine the case geometry and that distinctive angular profile. We check the rotating bezel action and alignment; it must sit evenly and turn smoothly. We verify the subdial layout on the dial and the lume application on hands and hour markers. We photograph from multiple angles to capture the case side profile and the lug-to-case transition. We inspect the chronograph pusher positioning and fit. We check bracelet end-link assembly and the clasp mechanism.
