The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Does the chronograph actually time seconds?
Yes. The chronograph sub-dial seconds hand and central chronograph hand work together. The 30-minute sub-dial tracks elapsed minutes. We verify chronograph function by starting, stopping, and checking hand return during QC.
What is the tachymetre bezel?
The tachymetre is a measuring scale printed on the bezel, typically used for calculating speed. It is a finishing detail found on many sports chronographs. The bezel is fixed and does not rotate on this reference.
Is 43mm too large for a dress setting?
43mm is substantial and best suited to sports or smart-casual contexts. Very formal dress typically pairs with smaller watches. The Carrera is positioned as a sports chronograph, making it more appropriate for active wear.
Can the chronograph wear out with use?
The chronograph mechanism is mechanical and subject to normal wear. Regular use does not typically cause failure, but service may be needed after years of frequent use. A qualified watchmaker can service chronograph movements.

How our clone follows it
We build this in 43mm stainless steel with an automatic movement, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and a tachymetre bezel printed with timing references. The dial carries applied indices and sub-dials for chronograph function, finished clean and legible. During QC, we verify bezel printing is sharp, all sub-dials rotate smoothly, the chronograph hands return to zero, and centre hands align properly. Water resistance at 50 metres suits daily wear and weather exposure, not diving or sustained water contact.

At 43mm with a chronograph dial, the Carrera commands visible presence on the wrist. Stainless steel is hardwearing and practical for every-day use.
