Reading the Portugieser dial
The Portugieser hides nothing. A wide, flat dial with a railway-track minute ring at its edge, slim leaf hands and applied Arabic numerals leaves a clone no texture to shelter behind: if the track's printing drifts out of round, or the hands sit a shade too broad for the scale, the watch tells on itself from across a table. Our IW500714 replica is checked on exactly those points, and on the 42.3mm steel case, which is broad enough to show every hollow in a poor polish.
