The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Is the unidirectional bezel only for diving?
No. Divers use it to track bottom time, but anyone can use it to time events or set reminders. The ratchet mechanism prevents accidental rotation during wear.
Does the retro dial look dated on a modern watch?
The Superocean Heritage deliberately blends vintage aesthetics with modern materials. The retro look is intentional and pairs well with contemporary fashion. It appeals to those who like timeless design.
Can I use this watch for snorkelling or light diving?
Water resistance is for daily wear only: hand-washing and rain, not swimming or showers. It is not rated for scuba diving depths (typically 300m+). The water resistance covers hand-washing, rain, and light water exposure.
What is the thickness of the 42mm case?
With an automatic movement, the case is approximately 11-12mm thick. This is visible in the QC photographs' profile shots and will be relatively compact on the wrist compared to larger chronographs.

The Superocean Heritage is Breitling's modern tribute to vintage diving watches. This 42mm reference is compact and balanced, suitable for both water sports and everyday wear. How our clone follows it
The 42mm stainless steel case uses stainless steel specification. Automatic movement delivers 48 hours of reserve. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both surfaces.
