The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

How does the blue dial change in different light?
In daylight the blue reads as navy or deep indigo. Under indoor or artificial light it becomes brighter and more saturated. The finish is lacquered, giving the dial reflective depth rather than a flat matte appearance.
How much larger is 40mm compared to 36mm?
The 40mm case is noticeably larger and heavier than 36mm. It is more present on the wrist and suits most wrist sizes comfortably. Many buyers prefer 40mm for a bolder aesthetic.
What dial colours are available in the Day-Date family?
The Rolex 228206 comes in blue. Siblings include the Rolex 228239 in standard dial colour and the Rolex 118139 in chocolate brown. Each reference carries its own dial colour and aesthetic character.
Will the blue dial fade or change over time?
No. The lacquered dial is stable and does not fade under normal wear. Long-term UV exposure or chemical contact may eventually affect any watch dial, but daily wearing will not alter the blue colour.

How our clone follows it
We manufacture at 40mm in 904L stainless steel with sapphire crystal and anti-reflective coating. Water resistance is approximately 50 metres for daily wear. The Swiss-grade clone automatic movement runs for roughly 48 hours. For QC photographs we verify the blue dial colour under daylight, check date window centring, and inspect the dial texture for consistency. Bracelet taper and end-link fit receive close attention at this larger size.
