The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.
Men’s sizing. At 36mm it wears true to the original’s proportions. Every piece is checked and photographed before dispatch; the watch you receive is the one in the QC images we send you.

How fragile are the diamond-set bezel and crown?
The stones are set into the metal, not glued. They're durable under normal wear. Avoid hard impacts on the bezel; that's where stones are most vulnerable. If one loosens, a watchmaker can re-set it, and we cover this under the 12-month warranty.
Do the Roman numerals affect timekeeping or service?
No. The numerals are part of the dial printing; they don't affect the movement. Any watchmaker can service the movement regardless of dial style. The numerals add visual appeal without mechanical consequence.
Is the 36mm case heavy with all the diamond setting?
Negligibly. The diamonds are small and light; the steel case dominates the weight. You'll perceive it as similar in hand to a non-iced 36mm Day-Date, though the visual presence is more substantial due to sparkle.
Are the diamonds real or CZ?
They are quality stones set into the case but are not certified diamonds. They're visually similar to diamonds under normal light. Over years, wear and dust can affect their sparkle; periodic cleaning restores shine.

What the Day-Date is
Reference 18038 is a vintage-case Day-Date at 36mm with the perpetual calendar (day and date) and president bracelet. This iced-out version sets diamonds across the bezel and case crown, transforming the formal dress watch into something more celebratory. Roman numerals frame the dial, a classical touch that adds character.
How our clone follows it
We've engineered the 36mm case in 904L stainless steel with a Swiss-grade automatic movement and diamond-set bezel and crown. The Roman-numeral dial is the centrepiece. During QC we photograph the stone alignment—each diamond must sit flush and centred—and we zoom in on the dial numerals to confirm they're clear and correctly spaced. Sapphire crystal, anti-reflective coating, 50 metres water resistance.
On the wrist
The iced-out version is more eye-catching than a standard Day-Date; the diamonds catch light with every wrist turn. At 36mm it remains elegant, not heavy.
