The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

How is the blue dial colour achieved and maintained?
The dial is printed or lacquered in a specific blue shade that matches the original. The colour is permanent and will not fade with normal exposure to light. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which fades any blue dial over many years.
Does the blue dial show fingerprints or dust?
A dark blue dial shows dust more readily than lighter colours. A microfibre cloth will clean the crystal without scratching. Avoid touching the dial itself; the crystal protects it. Dust settling on the crystal is normal and easily wiped away.
How does a blue dial photograph under different lights?
The blue shifts slightly in colour temperature depending on ambient light. Indoor tungsten light makes it warmer and slightly purplish. Natural daylight shows the true blue. Camera flash may overexpose the dial. In-person viewing shows the most accurate colour.
Is the blue dial more or less durable than a white or black dial?
All dials are equally durable if protected by the sapphire crystal. The colour itself (blue, black, white) does not affect scratch resistance or longevity. The dial is the most fragile component; damage requires professional refinishing.

We've built this in 904L steel with sapphire crystal and anti-reflective coating. The case is 41mm and the movement is a Swiss-grade automatic with roughly 48 hours of power reserve. The dial colour is what sets this reference apart. In QC photos, we focus on the dial finish: the blue should be even and glossy with no fading or discolouration. The applied indices should sit flat against the dial with no gaps or imperfections. The date window magnifier should be crisp and the cyclops lens perfectly centred.
