The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Will the diamond-set bezel catch and scratch daily watches easily?
The bezel is recessed, and the stones are set firmly. They do not protrude enough to catch clothing. Scratches on the bezel itself are rare; scratches on the diamond surfaces are possible with neglect.
Is the black dial prone to reflections that wash out details?
Our matte black dial has a satin finish that diffuses light evenly. It does not gloss up or mirror in normal light. Under direct flash it may show glint, but this is normal.
Can the diamond-set bezel be replaced with a plain stainless bezel later?
Yes. A watchmaker with bezel-pressing tools can swap it, though this will lose the diamond-set aesthetics you paid for. Once swapped, the plain bezel is permanent.
Does the day wheel on this reference display English day names or abbreviations?
The day-of-week window displays three-letter abbreviations: MON, TUE, WED, etc. All are in English regardless of the market.

What the Day-Date II is
The Day-Date II is a formal sports watch with a 41mm case and a day-of-week display at 12 o'clock. It sits between the classic 36mm Day-Date and the oversized sport models, making it a modern formal middle ground.
The 218239 in black dial with a diamond-set bezel is a variation that adds jewellery-like presence to the functional base.
How our clone follows it
We build this in stainless steel with a 41mm case, sapphire crystal, and a Swiss-grade automatic movement. The bezel is set with stones in a diamond pattern, which we confirm is secure and evenly placed in QC photographs. The dial is matte black, which we check for even finish and no dust traps. Water resistance is 50 metres.
When we photograph this reference, we focus on bezel stonework: stones must sit flush with no gaps, and the pattern must be symmetrical around the case. The date window must be centred and legible.
On the wrist
Black with diamond bezel reads formal and contemporary. At 41mm, it sits larger than a classic Date-Date but not oversized. The stone-set bezel softens the sport aesthetic and appeals to buyers who want presence and dressing-up potential.
