The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. Is 41mm larger than standard 40mm Day-Dates?
Yes. The Day-Date II expands to 41mm for added presence. If you typically wear 40mm, this will feel noticeably larger but not excessive—a measured size increase.
How sharp is the cyclops magnification on the date?
The cyclops magnifies at 2.5x and sits centred over the date window. We check alignment in our QC photos to ensure it delivers clear, centred magnification.
Are the day and date windows equally visible?
Yes. Both windows are sized and positioned for readability. The date window at 3 o'clock is under the cyclops; the day window at 12 o'clock is unassisted but clear.
Is the watch suitable for formal wear at 41mm?
Mostly yes—41mm sits at the border between formal and contemporary sizes. For black-tie, a 36-40mm piece is more traditional, but 41mm is acceptable for modern formal settings.
