The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. What is a sapphire dial and how does it differ from steel?
A sapphire dial is a polished synthetic sapphire crystal that serves as the dial itself, rather than printed colour on a metal dial. It has a deep, translucent blue or grey tone and a glossy finish. Sapphire dials show fewer fingerprints and are more scratch-resistant than paint.
How do I check the date and day windows in QC?
In QC photographs, the date should be centred in its window (not cocked to one side), and the day text should be straight and fully legible. Both windows should have clear focus without glare. Video from multiple angles confirms the windows sit flush with the dial.
Is the President bracelet heavy?
The President bracelet is substantial—it adds weight to the watch but feels solid on the wrist. At 40mm stainless steel with a full President bracelet, the watch weighs approximately 140–150 grams (about the same as a small pebble). If you prefer lighter watches, try a leather strap instead.
Can I switch the bracelet to a leather strap?
The bracelet is removable via standard spring bars. A qualified watchmaker can remove it and fit a leather strap. Once removed, the original bracelet can be stored or sold separately. Most leather straps cost 30–100 USD from third-party makers.
