The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Does the newer generation bezel click differently from older Seamaster models?
Slightly. The newer generation uses a refined ratchet mechanism with more consistent click tension across all 60 increments. The difference is subtle, and both are excellent. Our QC confirms smooth clicks across the entire bezel rotation.
Will the black dial stay uniformly black, or will it show wear patterns?
The dial is sealed beneath sapphire crystal, so it won't wear. In years of use, the applied indices may develop a subtle patina, which collectors often appreciate. The black dial surface itself remains stable.
How does the bracelet end link compare to the 215-series Seamasters?
The newer 232-series uses a half-link taper at the clasp; older 215-series models use a solid end link. The newer design allows for finer size adjustment. Our QC photos show the end link design in detail.
Can I swap the steel bracelet for a rubber or fabric strap?
Yes. The lugs accommodate standard 20mm strap bars. A rubber dive strap or fabric NATO strap will fit. We can advise on strap options compatible with the lug width.

If you find 45mm too bold, the 43mm 232.32.44.22.03.001 Blue scales back the size. For a black dial in a smaller frame, the 232.30.46.51.01.001 at 45mm is the previous generation variant.
