The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Is the octagonal bezel purely cosmetic or does it affect durability?
Purely cosmetic. The bezel sits on top of the case and is part of the case structure. It's strong and won't dent under normal wear. The octagonal shape is an homage to the original Royal Oak dress design by Gérald Genta.
Does the date window integrate into the dial or is it separate?
It integrates into the dial. The window is cut into the dial surface itself, and the date wheel rotates beneath it. At 3 o'clock, it's visible through the sapphire crystal. When we photograph the dial angle, the date window is centred and fully legible.
How does the bracelet weight feel compared to a standard sports watch?
The Offshore bracelet is heavier than a Rolex sports watch of similar size. AP uses a pronounced, chunky link design that adds substance to the case. If you prefer lighter wear, a fabric or leather strap will reduce the overall feel.
Can the bezel be polished, or should I leave it brushed?
The bezel comes brushed from our QC process. Polishing the octagonal faces is possible but removes the original finish. Most collectors leave it brushed for durability and to preserve the original aesthetic—scratches show less on brushed surfaces.
