Is 37mm a good middle ground?
Yes. 37mm is larger than dress watches (31-33mm) but smaller than full sports watches (42-44mm). It works on most wrists and with most clothing styles.
How does the octagonal bezel look at 37mm?
The octagon is still prominent and distinctive. At this size it reads more elegant than aggressive. The shape is recognisably Audemars Piguet without being overwhelming.
Will the stainless steel show scratches?
Yes. Both polished and brushed finishes pick up scratches with daily wear. This is normal. The underlying metal is durable; professional re-polishing can restore shine.
