The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. What is the 'Batman' nickname, and why does it matter?
The Batman refers to the two-tone bezel: black and blue. The colour combination resembles the comic book character's colours. The nickname helps identify this specific reference visually. Your QC photographs should show crisp colour separation between the black and blue sections.
How does the GMT hand work?
The GMT hand is a separate hand that rotates once per 24 hours, tracking a second time zone. It sits under the hour hand on the dial. In your QC video, you should see the GMT hand move independently. The hand colour is typically orange or red for visibility.
Is the date window centred below 12 o'clock?
Yes, the GMT-Master has a cyclops date window. The date should be centred and enlarged by the magnifying lens. Examine the QC photographs; if the date appears misaligned or off-centre, flag it in your approval.
Is the Oyster bracelet adjustment easy?
The Oyster bracelet uses link removal to adjust size. Standard watch tools work; a jeweller can do this quickly if you lack tools. The bracelet tapers toward the clasp. Your QC video shows the bracelet configuration at delivery.
