The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.
Men’s sizing. At 40mm it wears true to the original’s proportions. Every piece is checked and photographed before dispatch; the watch you receive is the one in the QC images we send you.

Will the day and date windows stay perfectly centred?
Yes. Both windows are cut into the dial and aligned to the movement wheels beneath. As long as the movement functions, the windows remain centred. If either window begins to drift, the movement may need service—we handle this under warranty.
What languages are available for the day window?
This clone comes with English day abbreviations (Mon, Tue, Wed, etc.). Special language wheels (French, German, Spanish) are available; contact us for options and lead time.
Is the President bracelet comfortable for all-day wear?
Yes. The President end links integrate smoothly with the case, creating a seamless flow from wrist to bracelet. The taper from centre link to clasp is gradual, so the bracelet sits comfortably even on slim wrists.
Can I swap the bracelet for a leather strap?
Yes, but the lugs are designed for the President bracelet. A leather strap will work, but the fit won't be as integrated. We can advise on third-party strap options if you prefer leather.

What the Day-Date is
The Rolex Day-Date displays both the day of the week and the date—a feature that defines the reference. At 40mm in stainless steel, it's sized between a dress watch and a sports model. The dial carries applied indices and a distinctive centre seconds hand. The President bracelet (integral end links) is exclusive to the Day-Date line.

On the wrist
At 40mm, the Day-Date sits between a dress Datejust and a larger sports watch. It works on athletic wrists and formal wrists alike. If you prefer a larger footprint, the 228238-0042 in Yellow Gold is the same size in a precious metal finish. For a blue dial variant, the 228206-0004 Ice Blue offers colour without changing the size.
