Why choose titanium over steel?
Titanium is roughly 40% lighter than steel, so a 44mm titanium watch weighs less than a 41mm steel equivalent. It resists corrosion better than steel and is harder to scratch. Titanium also feels more luxurious and cool against the skin. The downside is that titanium is harder to machine, so clones are rarer.
Does titanium scratch more easily than steel?
Titanium is actually harder than steel and resists scratching better. However, scratches on titanium are more visible because of the matte finish. A small nick shows up more obviously on a grey matte surface than on polished steel. Regular micro-scratches are inevitable; significant gouges are rare.
How heavy is a 44mm titanium watch compared to a 36mm steel watch?
A 44mm titanium watch typically weighs 130–150 grams. A 36mm steel watch weighs 100–120 grams. The titanium is larger but lighter. You'll notice the difference immediately when you put it on.
Will titanium develop a patina or change colour over time?
Titanium oxidizes very slowly in normal conditions. The surface may develop a subtle greyish film after years of wear, but it will not rust or significantly change colour. Cleaning with mild soap and water keeps the finish fresh.

The case is 44mm—the largest in the Offshore line—and the movement is a Swiss-grade automatic with 48 hours of power reserve. Titanium feels distinctly different from steel: it's cold to the touch, noticeably lighter, and has a matte grey finish that catches light differently. In QC photos, we check the case finish for consistent grain and sheen, and the bezel alignment for precision.
