The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is yellow gold, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Is the yellow-gold finish real precious metal?
No. The case is stainless steel with a yellow-gold-coloured finish, not precious metal alloy. We make no claim about gold purity or composition.
Does the chronograph actually time events?
The chronograph subdials are visual only, printed on the dial. The regatta countdown timer is also non-functional in this clone. They are design elements, not working complications.
Why is the 44mm size necessary for the Yacht-Master II?
The chronograph mechanism and regatta timer complications require space. The 44mm case proportionally houses the complex dial and makes it readable. It is not arbitrary size inflation.
Can I wear this if I do not sail?
Absolutely. The regatta function is non-working in this clone anyway. The Yacht-Master II is simply a large, gold-toned sports watch. Wear depends on whether 44mm and gold tone suit you.
