The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. Is the titanium material real titanium?
The case is stainless steel with a titanium-coloured finish, not pure titanium alloy. We do not claim titanium composition or properties.
Why would Rolex use titanium on a Yacht-Master?
Titanium is corrosion-resistant and lighter than steel — advantages in a marine environment. The 116622 in titanium was a technical choice, not purely aesthetic.
Does a titanium-finish watch feel lighter than solid steel?
No. The weight is the same; only the appearance changes. True titanium watches (premium brands, expensive) feel lighter. Our titanium finish is cosmetic.
How does the black dial stand out if the case is also cool-toned?
The black dial provides contrast against the cool titanium case. Aesthetically, both cool tones create a cohesive, technical appearance — not clashing.
