Is the platinum finish real platinum?
No. The case is stainless steel with a platinum-coloured finish, not precious metal. We do not claim precious metal composition. The finish is stable and durable for daily wear.
Why is the satin finish important on platinum-looking watches?
Platinum polishes differently from steel. A satin finish is more forgiving and catches light subtly. We verify in QC that the finish is consistent across the case and does not show brush marks or dull spots.
What size is the 116622PLSO?
40mm, the standard Yacht-Master size. It wears confidently on most wrists without feeling oversized.
Does platinum-finish steel require special care?
