The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. Is the 126610LV newer than the 16610?
Yes. The 126610LV is a modern reference released after the 16610 was discontinued. It carries updated case finishing and the signature green bezel.
What makes the green bezel 'sapphire' if it is not a crystal?
The bezel itself is made of sapphire material (not the crystal), tinted green. It is scratch-resistant and integral to the watch case, not a replaceable component.
Does the black dial have any texture or pattern?
Yes. The black dial has a subtle sunburst finish similar to the 16610. The effect is most visible under direct light at certain angles.
