The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Is the ceramic bezel scratch-resistant?
Yes. Ceramic is significantly harder than aluminium, resisting scratches from normal wear. The bezel will show marks from hard impacts but resists light scratches far better. The matte finish hides micro-scratches more effectively than polished finishes.
How smooth is the bezel rotation?
Clone bezel action varies: some rotate smoothly, others feel slightly gritty or stiff. A small amount of friction is normal and indicates adequate tension. Your QC video demonstrates bezel rotation so you can assess smoothness before approval.
Is this watch rated for diving?
No. Water resistance is approximately 50 metres�safe for hand-washing and rain, not diving or swimming. Submarine-rated dive watches require 300 metres or higher resistance. The Submariner name reflects its design heritage, not its modern rating.
How do date and no-date versions compare?
The date window at 3 o'clock is convenient but adds visual complexity. Some collectors prefer the cleaner no-date dial. Both are authentic to different Submariner references. Your choice depends on whether you value the date complication.
