The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. Is the white gold plating applied the same way as yellow gold?
White gold casing uses a white/silver plating. It looks cooler and more formal than yellow. Both will eventually show wear in high-friction areas.
How saturated is the blue dial—is it dark or bright?
The 116618LB dial is a rich royal blue, quite bright and saturated. Under sunlight it shines vividly; under indoor light it holds depth without becoming dull.
Can I request the 116618LN black dial variant instead?
If the 116618LN is listed separately, it can be ordered as an alternative. If not listed, contact us by email to discuss custom options.
Is white gold warmer or cooler than stainless steel?
White gold is cooler in tone and reads as more formal. It appears jewellery-like rather than instrumental, changing the watch's personality compared to stainless.

On the wrist
White gold reads cooler and more formal than yellow gold. The blue dial reinforces that aesthetic. At 40mm the watch is comfortable but substantial, particularly in precious metal. If you compare it to the 16610 (steel, black), this is a completely different animal—closer to jewellery than instrument. The 126610LV (steel, green bezel) is sportier and less dressy.
