How do I check the rounded-square case geometry in QC photos?
The Aquanaut's distinctive case shape is visible from multiple angles in the QC photographs. The rounded corners and square profile differentiate it from oval or round cases. Check that the lugs are symmetrical and the case lines are clean on both sides.
Is the rubber strap durable or does it degrade?
Rubber straps age over time, becoming stiffer or developing slight discolouration, but they remain functional for years. Proper care—rinsing with fresh water after salt exposure and avoiding prolonged direct sunlight—extends strap life. Replacement straps are available from third-party makers.
What is the water resistance of the 5968A?
Approximately 50 metres for daily wear—hand-washing and rain are safe, swimming is not. The rubber strap can withstand splashing, but the case is not designed for submersion beyond wrist height.
Does the 42mm case suit smaller wrists?
