Why is the Aquanaut softer looking than the Nautilus?
The case is rounded instead of octagonal, the indices are simpler and more subtle, and the rubber strap is more flexible than steel. The overall aesthetic is casual sports rather than formal sport.
How often do I need to replace the rubber strap?
Rubber typically lasts two to three years of regular wear before becoming stiff and less flexible. You can replace it anytime for ten to twenty pounds at a local watchmaker. It is not glued or permanently attached.
Does rubber feel different on skin in summer versus winter?
Yes. Rubber is warmer in winter but stickier and softer in summer heat. It's still comfortable and functional, just noticeably different. Air conditioning makes it feel firmer.
Can I wear this in a swimming pool or is it for wrist-level water only?
Wrist-level splashes, hand-washing, and brief rain only. Fifty metres is not dive-rated. Avoid pools and prolonged submersion. A rubber strap swells if left underwater for extended time.

How our clone follows it
Forty millimetre steel case with rubber strap in the standard colour option. Swiss-grade automatic, approximately 48 hours' reserve. We inspect the rubber strap seams carefully in QC—any small separation or gap and we replace it before approval. The dial must print cleanly without offset in the marker placement. Sapphire with anti-reflection coating provides scratch resistance. Water resistance for daily wear at roughly 50 metres, covering hand-washing and rain only. The case-back seal is inspected to sit flush with no gaps.
On the wrist
Forty millimetres feels moderate on most wrist sizes—neither compact nor oversized. The rubber strap is warm and flexible against the skin, comfortable for extended wear during active pursuits. Steel weight is noticeable but balanced without fatigue over eight to ten hours. A genuine everyday watch suited equally to casual errands and office environments.
