How long does the rubber strap last?
Two to three years of regular wear before it begins to stiffen and lose flexibility. Swapping for a fresh strap is straightforward and costs ten to twenty pounds at a local watchmaker.
Does the integrated case design mean I cannot change the strap?
You can change it. The strap is connected at the case lugs with standard spring bars. A watchmaker can remove and replace the entire strap assembly in minutes.
Is the dial truly minimalist or does it have markers?
Minimalist but not bare. It has hour markers, minute track, and applied indices. The branding is subtle. The overall effect is clean compared to busy dials.
Can I use this for beach holidays in saltwater?
Fifty metres is wrist-level shallow water only. Avoid extended saltwater exposure or submersion. Rinse with fresh water after beach time and you can use it seasonally for beach trips.

What the Aquanaut is
The Aquanaut is Patek's casual sports watch with a soft, rounded case and integrated rubber strap. Simple dial, understated branding, water-resistant construction. Designed to bridge the office and outdoor pursuits, it combines durability with approachability in a contemporary silhouette.
How our clone follows it
Forty millimetre steel case with the rubber strap as listed. Swiss-grade automatic, approximately 48 hours. We check the strap seams carefully in QC—any small gap and we replace it before approval. The dial needs clean printing and centred date window with no offset in the marker placement. Sapphire with anti-reflective treatment; 50-metre water resistance for splashes and hand-washing. The case back seal is inspected to ensure it sits flush with no separation from the case band.
On the wrist
Forty millimetres fits comfortably on most wrist sizes without feeling overlarge or undersized. The rubber strap is warm against skin and flexible enough for active wear. Steel weight is noticeable but balanced—solid without fatigue over extended periods. A genuine everyday watch suited equally to casual errands and active pursuits. The minimalist dial keeps the focus on wearability rather than decoration. Compare the 5168G with blue strap for an alternative colour, or the 5168G Japanese movement option.
