The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is gold, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Is the gold case plating or solid gold through the case?
The listing specifies the material in the data section. Gold cases are typically gold-plated stainless steel (gold layer over base metal) to keep costs reasonable. Solid gold would be explicitly stated and priced significantly higher.
How does the blue dial shift in colour depending on light?
Blue dials typically darken indoors under artificial light and lighten in daylight. This is normal for any coloured dial—not a defect. Consistency in colour between daylight and indoor is what separates quality from sloppy printing.
Is the bezel in gold or steel and does it match the case?
The data section specifies bezel material. Typically, mixed-metal watches have matching case and bezel finishes (gold case, gold bezel). Confirm the listing before ordering if you have a preference.
Does the gold finish scratch easily or does it hold up to normal wear?
Gold plating on stainless steel wears with use—scratches are inevitable. Wear appears first on edges and high points where friction is greatest. Replating is available if the case gets too worn, but scratches are normal and accepted in watch wear.

What the Seamaster Diver is

The 210.20.42.20.03.001 in gold with a blue dial is a mixed-metal variant—rarer than all-steel versions, visually warmer, and distinctly sophisticated for a dive watch.
How our clone follows it
We build this to 41mm in gold (case and bezel) with a blue dial, paired with a Swiss-grade automatic movement (48-hour reserve). Mixed metals require careful finish matching—gold tone has to sit between warm and brassy, and the blue dial has to read vibrant without looking printed-on. Sapphire crystal, anti-reflective coating, unidirectional rotating bezel. In QC, we photograph the gold finish under natural light and indoors (colour consistency matters), check that the blue dial isn't muddy, and verify the bezel click-feel is even across all 60 positions.
On the wrist
41mm is comfortable and present—the sweet spot for mixed-metal watches. Gold warming the case against the blue dial creates visual interest most steel watches don't achieve.
