The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. Are the diamonds real or synthetic stones?
The bezel uses cubic zirconia stones that mimic diamond appearance. They are hand-set in the ceramic bezel. Cubic zirconia is durable for daily wear but will show wear over years. The stones sit securely and do not fall out.
How does a 33 mm Royal Oak compare in size to a standard?
The 33 mm is significantly smaller than the 41 mm standard. Lug-to-lug is approximately 40 mm. It suits wrists under 6.5 inches better than the larger references. The octagonal bezel reads the same design language at smaller scale.
Is the rose gold plating adequate on such a small watch?
The rose gold PVD coating is uniform across all surfaces on the 33 mm. The smaller surface area actually shows fewer wear marks. The plating is identical thickness to larger models.
Does the diamond-set bezel feel rough on the wrist?
The bezel edge is finished smooth; the stones sit slightly inset so the bezel top is not sharp. The bracelet tapers away from the bezel, so there is no rubbing. The finish is comfortable against the skin.
