The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Is the tapisserie dial pattern uniform across the surface?
Yes. The cross-hatch texture is applied as a single finish. It appears uniform under normal light. In direct, raking light, the brushstrokes follow one direction—this is correct.
Will the octagon bezel show scratches easily?
Stainless steel can show marks under certain light. We apply a protective film during QC and dispatch, which buyers remove. Light polishing restores the finish if minor marks appear.
How does the 37mm Royal Oak compare to larger versions?
The 37mm sits on the border between dress and sport. Larger Royal Oak models (39–42mm) lean heavier into sport and suit broader wrists. This size is our most versatile across hand sizes.
What movement does the clone use?
A Swiss-grade automatic with approximately 48 hours of power reserve. It is not the Audemars Piguet calibre used in the original reference.

What the Royal Oak is
The Royal Oak is Audemars Piguet's steel sports watch, famous for its octagonal bezel and "tapisserie" brushed dial. It launched in 1972 and remains a design icon. The 37mm version sits in the slimmer end of the range, suiting smaller wrists and those who prefer dress-sports balance.
How our clone follows it
We match the bezel's eight equal sides, the dial's cross-hatched brushing, and the integrated bracelet's polished-and-brushed finish. In QC photography, we focus on bezel symmetry, date window centring (where present), and the consistency of brushing across the dial and case. The case is stainless steel with a sapphire crystal. Movement is automatic, approximately 48 hours reserve.
