The moonphase is driven by the movement and will advance with each day. It will be accurate for roughly 122 years before requiring manual adjustment—accurate enough for a lifetime.
Will the calendar windows show English month names?
The listing does not specify language. Confirm with the store whether your unit will have English, Roman numerals, or another format before ordering.
How do I wind the moonphase if I stop wearing the watch?
The moonphase is part of the movement and will advance with the automatic winding. If you leave it for several days, it will lose accurate position; you can set it manually by adjusting the movement through the caseback if the watch allows access.

What the Royal Oak is
The Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar is the most complex member of the Royal Oak family, adding annual and monthly complications to the steel sports case. The dial houses a moonphase disc and calendar windows. During QC, we photograph the moonphase alignment, check that calendar discs turn smoothly, verify all window text is sharp and properly registered, and ensure the date changes cleanly at midnight.
