The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Is the black dial matte or polished?
The black dial has a satin or brushed finish, not a high gloss. This reduces reflections and suits the professional racing aesthetic.
How does the tachymeter bezel work for measuring speed?
Using the chronograph, you time how long it takes to travel one kilometre. The chronograph hand's position on the bezel shows your speed. It's a manual calculation rather than electronic.
Does the 16528 have a date window?
No. This is a clean-dial racing chronograph without date complication, following the original racing-focused design philosophy.
What colour are the chronograph subdial hands?
The chronograph hands are typically white or luminous. Your QC photos will show the exact hand colour and lume application on your watch.

What the Daytona is
The Daytona is Rolex's chronograph for motorsport professionals. It measures speed via the tachymeter bezel and tracks elapsed time using the subdial system. The black-dial steel version is the classic racing aesthetic—understated, professional, and purposeful.
