What is a chocolate dial, and how does it differ from brown?
Chocolate is a warm brown with red or copper undertones, appearing rich and lustrous. Pure brown lacks the warm undertone and reads as flat. A chocolate dial catches light and shows warmth under different angles. In the QC video under varied lighting, you will see this warm brown tone distinctly.
Why is 31 mm called women's sizing?
Datejust cases historically ranged from 26 mm to 36 mm for women and 36 mm to 41 mm for men. At 31 mm, this size sits in the traditional women's range, though modern conventions allow anyone to wear any size. The case proportions are refined and delicate rather than bold.
Are the diamond bezel stones real?
No. The bezel diamonds are costume stones—crystal or synthetic substitutes—glued permanently to the bezel edge. They are not certified or precious gemstones. In the QC photo, they sparkle and appear luxurious. The visual effect is striking despite using affordable craft materials.
How do Roman numerals affect legibility at this small size?
Roman numerals are bolder than stick markers and remain legible at 31 mm. The chocolate dial provides contrast, making the white numerals stand out clearly. At this size, applied numerals (rather than printed) sit flush and cast subtle shadows, enhancing readability compared to engraved alternatives.
