The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. What is mother of pearl (MOP) on a dial?
Mother of pearl is the iridescent shell lining from pearls, cut and glued to the dial surface. It shifts colour under different light—silvery, pink, and blue tones appear as you move the watch. Real MOP is costly; ours is cosmetic treatment. The effect is striking in the QC video under various lighting.
Are the diamond hour markers real diamonds?
No. The diamonds are costume stone or crystal substitutes glued permanently to the dial. They are not precious gemstones. They sparkle and catch light like precious stones in the QC photo and video. The markers are permanent and cannot be removed or replaced without dial replacement.
What does the diamond bezel mean on this reference?
A diamond-set bezel has costume diamonds glued around the bezel edge, typically in an even spacing or pattern. On this reference, the diamond setting adds visual luxury. We verify in the QC photo that the stones sit flush, are evenly spaced, and are all secure and level. Missing or loose diamonds would be visible immediately.
How does MOP appear in different lighting?
Mother of pearl is iridescent, meaning it shifts colour depending on light angle and intensity. Under natural light, it may appear silvery or champagne. Under warm indoor light, pinks and blues emerge. In the QC video, we show the dial under different light sources so you see this iridescence for yourself.
