The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. Is 42mm the standard Seamaster size?
The Seamaster comes in several sizes: 40mm, 42mm, 43mm, and larger. The 42mm is a popular middle ground. We stock multiple sizes; check our Seamaster collection to compare and find the size that suits you.
Does the bezel rotate on both directions?
Yes, the bezel rotates 360 degrees freely in both directions. It clicks as it turns, giving tactile feedback. We ensure smooth rotation in QC before dispatch.
Can I use it for serious diving?
The watch is water-resistant to approximately 50 metres, suitable for freediving and snorkelling but not technical diving. For actual diving expeditions, professional-grade watches (rated 300m+) are recommended.
What is the difference between this and the 232.30.42.21.01.001?
Both are 42mm black Planet Oceans. The 232.30.42.21.01.001 is a more recent reference with slightly refined finishing and dial details. This model (232.30.44.22.01.001) is an earlier generation with a slightly different bezel design.

What the Seamaster is
