What does 'Selfwinding' mean on the reference?
Selfwinding is Audemars Piguet's terminology for automatic watches. The movement winds itself through wrist motion. The term is traditional and used interchangeably with 'automatic' on modern pieces.
Is the octagonal bezel rotating?
No. The bezel on this Selfwinding reference is fixed and polished, not rotating. The design is purely aesthetic and structural rather than functional.
How does the dial finish resist dirt?
The dial is polished and brushed stainless steel. Dust settles on it naturally but can be wiped away. The matte brushed areas hide fingerprints better than mirror polish.
