What is a frosted dial finish?
Frosted refers to a matte, textured surface created by light sanding or acid etching. It catches light softly and hides dust better than polished dials. The frosting is intentional and characteristic of the reference design.
Will the frosted finish wear off with time?
The frosting is a permanent surface finish, not a coating. It can accumulate patina or micro-scratches over years, but it does not wear away. Minor marks add character and are expected with age.
Is the yellow gold plating solid or surface coating?
The plating is a surface coating on steel. It wears naturally with time, thinning at contact points. We do not claim solid gold. The plating thickness is adequate for several years of wear; re-plating is available as maintenance.
How does the frosted dial compare to a polished dial?
Frosted is more refined, catches light subtly, and hides dust and handling marks better. Polished is glossy, bright, and more formal. Both are correct; it is aesthetic preference. The 67653 specifically uses frosted finish as designed.
