Is the chocolate dial colour authentic to any reference?
Chocolate is an offered dial variant on the Nautilus family. It's not the most common colour but it is documented on original references. It pairs warmly with the steel and bracelet finish.
How is the dial texture created and will it wear off?
The dial texture is printed or stamped during manufacturing, not applied as a coating. It won't wear off under normal wrist wear. It may become less visible if the dial surface is scratched heavily.
Does the chocolate colour show fingerprints and oils?
Yes, like any dark dial. Fingerprints are visible on chocolate after handling. They polish off with a soft cloth. Under normal wear, hand oils don't accumulate noticeably on the surface.
Can I swap this dial for a lighter colour later?
Swapping a dial is a specialist watchmaker job and costs fifty to one hundred fifty pounds. It requires case opening and dial removal. We only offer the colours listed when you order.

What the Nautilus is
The Nautilus is Patek's iconic octagonal sport watch with integrated steel bracelet. It features the porthole date window, raised centre links with distinctive taper, and brushed steel finish that define the design across decades. How our clone follows it
Forty millimetre steel case with chocolate-coloured dial and integrated steel bracelet. Swiss-grade automatic with approximately 48 hours' reserve. In QC we examine the bracelet taper closely—outer links must be narrower than centre links and sit flush with the case lugs. The dial colour must be even across the entire surface under different lighting. The date window must be centred in its porthole housing. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating; water resistance for daily wear at about 50 metres, covering hand-washing and rain only.

Forty millimetres sits comfortably on most wrists without feeling oversized. The steel and bracelet weight is noticeable but balanced—solid presence without causing fatigue during eight to ten hours of wear. The chocolate dial adds warmth and visual sophistication compared to standard silver or black options. A genuinely versatile piece for office or casual settings.
