How does the stainless Day-Date compare to precious-metal versions?
Stainless offers the same 36mm size, movement, and calendar functionality as gold or platinum versions. The chief difference is material aesthetic: steel reads as sport-professional; precious metals as formal luxury. Functionally identical.
Do the day and date windows magnify the text clearly?
Yes. Both windows employ magnification lenses (cyclops-style on the date; non-magnified on the day). The QC photograph verifies lens clarity and text legibility under studio light. Darkness or distortion would indicate a defect requiring rejection.
Is the stainless Day-Date durable for everyday wear?
Absolutely. Stainless steel is the most durable precious-metal alternative for daily wear. The integrated bracelet and refined case finishing withstand normal activity without special precautions.
Can I swap between day and date windows on my own?
No. The windows are integrated into the movement and dial. Adjusting them requires opening the caseback—best left to professional watchmakers. The automatic movement handles day/date changes automatically at midnight.
