The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

Is white dial the standard finish for the 5726 reference?
The 5726 reference comes in multiple dial colours. White or silver is one standard variant. Black, blue and other colours are available in other references within the 5726 family.
How does the white dial age with wear?
A white or silvery dial can develop a patina or slight yellowing over many years in direct sunlight. This is cosmetic and does not affect function. Regular gentle cleaning maintains the bright appearance.
What is the difference between a white and a champagne dial?
Both terms describe a light, neutral tone. Champagne is warmer and slightly more golden; white is cooler and brighter. The exact description depends on lighting and the manufacturing batch.
Does the porthole case geometry limit the dial design?
The porthole frame surrounds the dial, and the dial itself is relatively simple. Complexity in dial design would compete with the case as the focal point, which defeats the Nautilus aesthetic.
