The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. What does a tourbillon cage do?
The tourbillon is a rotating escapement cage that spins once per minute. It compensates for the effects of gravity on timekeeping accuracy by averaging positional errors.
Is the tourbillon on this clone functional or visual only?
The tourbillon cage rotates and is mechanically functional. It performs the same gravity-compensation role as the original, though accuracy tolerance varies from the genuine.
Can I see the tourbillon clearly through the dial?
Yes. The dial has a sub-dial or open window to display the tourbillon cage in motion. It is one of the visual highlights of the watch.
How do I wind a tourbillon movement?
If manual winding is needed, wind the crown slowly and steadily. Most tourbillon clones are automatic and wind through wrist motion.

What the Royal Oak Tourbillon is
The Tourbillon is a technical variant of the Royal Oak: it retains the octagonal case and integrated bracelet, but the movement features a visible tourbillon regulator balancing the escapement. This is a collector's piece emphasising mechanical complexity.
How our clone follows it
We build this in stainless steel at 41mm with a Swiss-grade automatic movement that simulates approximately 48 hours of power. Sapphire crystal and 50-metre water resistance meet the standard. The tourbillon feature is functional on the dial. When we photograph for QC, we verify that the tourbillon cage rotates smoothly and the dial surface sits flush without binding; we also check that the movement engages properly when the watch is worn upright versus tilted.
On the wrist
At 41mm, the Tourbillon sits between the smaller Jumbos and larger Offshores. It is a technical, serious piece; the rotating cage visible through the dial draws eyes. The integrated bracelet in steel feels substantial.
