The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 50 m water resistance for daily wear.

What is a 'tropical' dial, and is it desirable?
A tropical dial is one where the colour has faded or aged unevenly over decades, creating a mottled, warm appearance. Vintage collectors prize tropical dials as evidence of age and wear. Your QC photographs show whether the tropical effect is even and convincing.
Is the 37mm case size difficult to fit?
37mm is noticeably smaller than standard 40mm Daytona variants. It suits smaller wrists (16–17 cm) and those preferring vintage proportions. Measure your existing watches to compare before ordering.
Will the tropical dial continue to fade after delivery?
The dial is fixed at manufacture. The tropical appearance is the dial finish, not an ongoing process. It will not substantially change after delivery; normal cleaning and wear will not affect it.
How does the tropical dial compare visually to other Daytona finishes?
Tropical dials have mottled, warm tones—cream, tan, or brown hues depending on the dial. Standard Daytona dials are typically uniform in colour. Your QC photographs will show the exact tropical effect on your unit.

What the Daytona is
Rolex's Daytona is the racing chronograph—a compact, purposeful tool watch with tachymeter bezel and three-subdial dial. This OW variant is notably smaller at 37mm, lending it a refined, vintage character. The tropical dial (faded, aged appearance) adds warmth and story to the steel case.
How our clone follows it
We build this at 37mm stainless steel around a Swiss-grade automatic movement with roughly 48 hours of power. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating manages dial glare. In QC we focus on the dial's tropical patina (is the colour fading even and convincing?), the bezel alignment and rotation smoothness, the subdial hand positions, and bracelet endlink fit—the tropical effect is a design choice, not a defect, but it must read as intentional and balanced.
