The movement is automatic, so the seconds hand sweeps rather than ticks and the watch winds itself as you wear it. The case is stainless steel, finished by hand — brushed surfaces stay brushed and polished edges keep a clean line. Does the James Bond association affect the watch quality?
The James Bond variant is simply a dial design within the De Ville family. The specifications and quality are standard De Ville. Brand association adds no functional benefit but may appeal to some collectors.
How does the 42mm feel compared to smaller sizes?
At 42mm, the De Ville has visible presence on the wrist. It is still refined rather than aggressive. The smooth bezel and polished case keep it elegant despite the larger size. Wrist proportion is personal preference.
Is the dial truly minimalist?
