What the Rolex families ask of a clone

Rolex designs are unforgiving to copy because so much of their character sits in geometry rather than decoration. A Datejust lives or dies on the fluted bezel's tooth count and the way the cyclops sits over the date. A Submariner is judged on bezel action and the depth of the applied indices. A Daytona shows its quality in subdial placement and pusher shape. These are the details we photograph when a sample arrives, because they are what a knowledgeable owner checks first.

The 431 references on this floor were chosen after that inspection. Where a factory could not get the lume plots straight or the bracelet taper right, that reference never reached this page.

Choosing across the families

Prices run from $1,149 to $1,449 across the floor, with the Daytona chronographs held at $1,449 whatever the dial carries. The largest group by some distance is the Datejust, at 431 references. Every watch runs a Swiss-grade clone automatic with roughly 48 hours of power reserve; a Japanese Miyota automatic can be chosen on every model instead, for $620. Where the original design uses 904L steel the better makers follow it, and we say so on the product page; where we cannot confirm what a case is made of, we describe it as stainless steel and leave it at that. Crystals are sapphire with anti-reflective coating, and ceramic bezel inserts appear on the sports references that use them.

Water resistance is everyday grade, around 50 metres. Hand-washing and rain are fine; swimming and diving are not, whatever the dial text of the original might promise.

Before anything ships we photograph your actual watch and record a QC video, then wait for your approval. Payment is bank transfer or crypto only, with instructions emailed after the order; nothing is charged at checkout, and the parcel leaves within one to two working days of cleared payment.

Delivery is free worldwide, tracked and insured, in unmarked packaging, and takes 5–10 working days; Switzerland is the one destination we cannot ship to.
